Langage

Détective de mots – Word Detective

In French books or on-line stories, search for words with the sound i as in souris (ee) and ui , as in pluie (ooee). In class, we have done this work regularly on a mini-whiteboard. You can use paper, a chalkboard or a whiteboard depending on what you have at home. Be sure to copy words correctly! Then read the words.

Maths

Low-tech: Continue review of adding to 20. If you have picked up a workbook from school, work on the next page for 20 minutes. You can also print off worksheets for your child to complete. Many students can add to 100, so cater to the level of your child.

High-tech: Play Puzzle Pics Addition Facts . Add to 20. If questions are too difficult, you can choose a lower number on the side. You can also explore other grade two games on Math Playground.

Gymnase

Get moving!

High tech:  Try cosmic yoga  or a Just Dance video.

Low tech: Try some yoga poses that we learned at school: L’avion, l’arbre, le bâteau, la fleur. Finish by lying on your back and relaxing each part of your body. Be still and relax.

Sharpen your pencils!

Tomorrow we will be journal writing. You will also have virtual music with M. Hogeveen.
