In math, we are learning about money! Our focus today was counting nickels and learning the different coins and bills that we use in Canada.
In French, we have returned to guided reading groups, with a focus on sounding out words as well as understanding text rather than relying on pictures.
Our focus is the letter c. It makes the k sound when followed by a, o, u or a consonant.
In gym, we have been building our soccer skills and joining students from the other grade 2 classes for outdoor soccer activities and play.
In science, we have been learning about the many ways that water is important. We have also looked at water in an Indigenous context, hearing an Indigenous story and learning about many communities without clean drinking water.
