This week:
- Mme Jules read Trudy’s Rock Story to the class. Afterwards, each student decorated his/her own rock with favourite images. When your child experiences a difficult emotion, he/she can put that emotion into the rock, and then put the rock back in nature as a way to let go of feelings.
- We explored fractions.
- We finished writing our own animal books that we will share with Mme Dufour’s class next week, then send home.
- We have been reading novels. Grade two students all finished reading French novels in a group with the teacher. Grade three students are reading both a French and an English novel. Students are proud of their accomplishments!
- We wrapped up and shared our commercials promoting physical and mental health. Each group of students worked with a group of grade 8 FSL students from SKSS.
- We are learning about hygiene and how to avoid getting others sick.
- We are learning about culture in Mongolia and will learn about a minority culture in Mongolia next week.
Fun Day will be on Friday, June 14th. An information sheet is coming home today! Parent volunteers are appreciated.
